Goals per shot #
An efficiency indicator showing how often a shot becomes a goal. Useful alongside shot volume.
Minutes #
Total playing time. High totals can reflect durability or role; always pair with per-90 rates for context.
Per-90 #
A rate statistic that scales output to a 90-minute match so players with different minutes can be compared fairly.
Role #
The tactical job a player performs (e.g., target striker, pressing winger). Role changes how stats should be interpreted.
Shot accuracy #
Percentage of shots that are on target. A quick proxy for finishing quality and decision making.
Shots per 90 #
Shot volume normalized to a full match. Highlights how often a player gets attempts.
Touches in box #
How often a player gets touches in the penalty area. Often correlated with goal involvement.
Volume vs efficiency #
Volume reflects how often actions occur (shots/90), while efficiency reflects how well they convert (goals per shot).
xA (Expected Assists) #
An estimate of the likelihood a pass becomes an assist based on chance quality. Useful for evaluating creative output.
